Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) is one of our Labeled for Good charities for 2015, and a cause near and dear to my heart. My son Cooper, now 8 years old, was diagnosed with severe food allergies at a young age. In fact, Name Bubbles and our dishwasher safe allergy labels were created due to the lack of customization options available in the label market. I wanted to provide additional styles and lines of information for allergens and emergency contact information when Cooper was at daycare or play dates. It has been exciting to see the awareness of food allergies grow over the years and so much of the outreach has been done through FARE and the families the organization helps. The team at Name Bubbles is honored to work with FARE for our second year in a row, and are happy to support the organization in their mission to improve the quality of life and health of individuals with food allergies.
Support Our Food Allergy Heroes
With May being #FoodAllergyMonth, we’ve teamed up with FARE and 4 awesome kiddos, who we like to call Food Allergy Heroes, to help spread food allergy awareness and education. Each week in May, one of our heroes will be highlighted on the Name Bubbles Facebook page and have the opportunity to share their story. You’ll all get a chance to get to know them, be inspired by how they help spread food allergy awareness in their community, and receive advice from our heroes along with their parents regarding food allergy safety.
Our heroes include:
Each story is so different and unique. They inspire me to do what I can as a mom, friend, and business owner to support food allergy awareness. I ask that you join us throughout May on our Facebook page for our #FoodAllergyMonth Celebration. In addition to learning about our Food Allergy Heroes and food allergy education, you will have a chance to help us in our effort to raise awareness by simply Liking, Sharing, or Commenting on a special Facebook post each week. For each Like, Share, and Comment we receive on that specific post (you’ll have to stay tuned on our to see which post it will be), $1 will go to FARE, up to $1,000 each week! You may also continue supporting this cause all year round with the purchase of our Allergy Labels, as 20% of all allergy product purchases
