New Year, New You, right? It’s that time of year when everyone jumps on the eating healthier, work out like a mad man or woman band wagon. But hey, I’m not complaining. I own a gym and I love this time of year and all the new people I get to meet. The one thing I don’t love is FAD diets. Low carb, no carb, cabbage soup, even baby food, it’s madness! You can’t support solid training routines with this kind of nutrition. I recommend that clients keep it simple, eat real food in the right portions for your body. And, eat a combination of protein, carbohydrates and fat.
This little beauty whipped up so quickly because I used pre-cooked ingredients from leftover meals. I sliced the beef and flash heated in a small skillet with a spray of olive oil. Add pasta and a handful of frozen green beans. Add cracked pepper and sauce and viola!

Flank steak is an excellent source of protein and supplies 15 percent of your daily iron intake.
Whole grains are packed with nutrients including protein, fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and trace minerals (iron, zinc, copper, and magnesium). A diet rich in whole grains has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity.
Green beans are not only healthy for our bodies, they keep our skin smooth and healthy, bolstering it with antioxidants proven to prevent premature skin aging! They pack an impressive antioxidant capacity as well as vitamin C, A, K, calcium, potassium, folate and small amounts of fiber, protein and iron.
